Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Stork Watch helps parents share labor and delivery updates with the family and friends they invite. Those updates are some of the most personal news there is, so the app is built to keep them private, including from us.In short
We don't collect your personal information. There's no Stork Watch account, and we don't run servers that store your updates.
Your Stork Watch is stored in the parent's own iCloud and shared only with the people they invite.
Names, baby details, updates and photos are encrypted on your iPhone before they're uploaded.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking, and we never sell or share your data.
What Stork Watch stores, and where
Stork Watch uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) to store and share information. We, the developer, can't see the contents of your Stork Watch.
Information Where it's kept
Your Stork Watch The Stork Watch's name, the parents' names, the due date, the birth plan and the At a glance panel, every update and photo, and arrival details (the baby's name, time of birth, weight, length and, if you choose to share it, girl or boy). All of it is stored in the iCloud account of the parent who created the Stork Watch, and shared only with the people that parent invites.
Comments Only if the parents turn comments on. Each comment and its author's name are encrypted on the writer's iPhone with that Stork Watch's own key, then stored in the app's iCloud public database. Only people in that Stork Watch can read them.
On your iPhone only Your "Posting as" name, your alert and sound settings, contraction timer readings (until you choose to share them), and other app preferences.
Encryption
Names, baby details, the panel, update text and the color you pick are saved in iCloud's encrypted fields. Photos are shrunk, have their location data removed, and are encrypted by the app with a key that only the people in that Stork Watch have.
Who can see your Stork Watch
The parent who created it, and any co-host they choose, who can post updates.
Family and friends the parent invites, who can view updates. They can comment only if the parents allow it.
The parent can remove anyone at any time, and their access ends right away.
Apple stores the data as the iCloud provider, under Apple's Privacy Policy.
What we don't do
We don't ask you to create an account with us or give us your email address.
We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking tools, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
We don't sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
We don't access your location, contacts or anything else on your iPhone that you haven't chosen to share.
Features that use your information
Alerts
If you turn on alerts, iCloud lets your iPhone know when a Stork Watch you follow changes. Your iPhone then fills in the poster's first name, so the alert says who posted. It never shows what they wrote.
Camera and photos
Stork Watch uses the camera or your photo library only when you choose to take or add a photo. Only the photo you pick is used.
Purchases
The Stork Watch Unlock is bought through Apple. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your payment details. The app only learns from Apple whether the unlock is active on your Apple Account.
Keeping and deleting your information
When a parent deletes a Stork Watch, its updates and photos are deleted from iCloud for everyone.
Family can stop watching at any time from the ••• menu.
Anyone can delete their own comments, and parents can hide any comment from everyone. Comments on a deleted Stork Watch can't be read by anyone, because the key needed to read them is deleted along with it.
Deleting the app removes the settings stored on your iPhone. You can also manage iCloud data in the Settings app under your name, then iCloud.
Children's privacy
Stork Watch is made for adults: parents and their family and friends. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. Details parents enter about their baby are stored only in iCloud, as described above.
Your choices and rights
Because we don't hold your personal information, you're in control of it in the app: you can edit or delete what you post, remove people, stop watching, or delete a Stork Watch. If you have a question or a request about your information, contact us and we'll help.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how your information is handled, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
